CITRUS, OPUS EST NOBIS AMORE SUB CORTICE
A site specific aerial scented installation that envelops and embraces visitors, inviting them to let themselves be carried away by the sensations that colors, designs, shapes, smell and materiality of the media arouse.
A sensory, personal and unique path, where everyone is protagonist, each one is an active actor of his emotional awakening involving vision and smell. Thanks to the interaction with specially designed objects, that invite a close and a quasi-ritual salutation, people can make an olfactory journey through which they find their own proximity space, establishing a connection with the elements, body and time in which they live.
15 special scented filters used in Maison Tonatto's olfactory laboratories, usually candy and monochrome, leave room for a triumph of flowers, leaves and lemons: the result of the creativity of Turin artist's Sophie Mühlmann.
The collaboration that has led to the development of "CITRUS, OPUS EST NOBIS AMORE SUB CORTICE" is born from the common vision of the world between two artists: Sophie Mühlmann, she is inspired by the beauty of nature and explores the concept of human being (how it is created, how it evolves over time and how it is influenced by what surrounds it ...), and Diletta Tonatto - creative director of Tonatto Profumi makes his passion for olfactory culture the basis of his brand.
The fragrance chosen by Sophie and Diletta is NEROLA of Tonatto Profumi. Fresh and Italian, Nerola is a melange composed primarily of neroli, bergamot, orange blossoms accompanied by a mixture of vetiver and patchouli. The name Nerola refers to the Duchess Anna Maria Orsini of Bracciano, Princess of Nerola, who in the 17th century began to spread the use and the name of this version of aquaman, already known in the Middle Ages and quoted by Boccaccio.
